IMPRESIONANTE!! Te ha quedado perfecta. La combinaci�n y disposici�n del equipo es muy natural y original. La modificaci�n de la HS de M.Jordan es impecable. Tiene un aire totalmente africano.

...y las pol�inas te han quedado muy naturales. A m� siempre me quedan demasiado gruesas para mi gusto. �has rebajado las pantorrillas del mu�eco?

Hi.

Here is my latest personal project. This figure have taken me a very long time to complete.

This soldier is a Sergeant. The fig is coming back from the Chemin des Dames offensive on the 16th of April 1917.

On that day 1400 Tirailleurs S�n�galais died on a single assault. They faced heavy machine gun fire that was not crushed by the preparatory bombing.

As I said this one took me a long time before getting the result that I was looking for.

I can finish a figure with all gear but their can be something's missing.

The biggest problem was in fact the headscultp.

I don't understand with the skin of the african head are always of a light-brown colour.

I have found (thanks to Vart) a Michael Jordan Headplay headsculpt, but I had to repaint it entirely in order to make him more "African" .

I use a lot of layers of very diluted acrylic paint, then I repaint it with pastel.

I also found when I put all elements on the fig that it was quite flat without any special salt that I like to find on a project.

So I studied more the stories behind the Senegalese troops and found that they come from different ethnic groups.

So here he is. This Tirailleur comes from the Bambaras a population living actually in Mali.

He as the traditional scarification marks on his face (3 lines on the cheeks). He also wear a traditional Tuareg silver bracelet on his right hand.

All items are Custom from scratch except the great Newline shoes.

The leather equipment (leather and metal) has the Colonial Troop buckle.

He has the Machete (leather, metal and wood) that afraid so much the German soldiers. They used to charge with it and they do have used them for close combat...

He wear the Colonial troops uniform called "paletot". The color is called "moutarde". It took me a full week in order to have the correct complexion (don't know if this the correct word?).

Because I work on big quantities, it takes some time to dry. The coulour is obtain only after a lot of different bath and step by step. That can be very boring. Very, very, very boring.

He has the gas mask canister (made of resin) and the Adrian Helmet (sideshow). On the helmet there is the Colonial troops badge made by Tony Barton (thanks Mr T.). I made a leather liner (can't see it :) ) and a leather sling.

This Tirailleur is a Sergeant. He wear two ribbons. One called "M�daille du Maroc" (Morocco's campaign commemorative medal) and the "M�daille coloniale" (Colonial campaign commemorative medal). I made them on my computer and print them on fabric.

He has also a musette bag and a water-can (custom made form metal, wood and cork).

All the rest of his equipment is in the "barda indig�ne". They use a tent roll.

He has on this backpack the typical mess kit (round one) use by Muslim troops.

The Lebel Rifle is a custom made with Raymond Boyer (resin and metal).

I paint it by using a lot of very diluted acrylic paint.

Because the offensive was under huge rain this fig received a heavy weathering.

Una foto, me he puesto nervioso con el crio llorando, ya esta arreglada....

como os iba contando...........el mango esta alargado, es de palo de pincho. Le he puesto una arandelas de alambre lo he tapizado con polipiel.

El pomo es un avalorio en forma de octogono con una remache de un bolso de la do�a. Luego he repintado todas las parte con metal gun de vallejo.

La armadura esta repintada con metal gun y le sacado algunas luces con color metal normal.

Voy a ver si el �ajo se ha dormido, jejeje.

La Gran Guerra se pone de moda...

Es cierto y me alegra eso de que se ponga de moda y que Did continue sacando figuras de este periodo para ver si asi se animan otras marcas y hacen lo mismo ( bueno parece que caltek se ha animado y sacara tambien un aleman )
